I haven't tried the RT215.
But, I'm a full 2.5 seconds quicker at Queensland Raceway on my R compound track tyres, compared to the RT615s. Like I said earlier though, I think they have gone off somewhat, they do have about 7500 kms on them, and look about 50% down.

wow 2.5 secs.
I had my old worn out RT 215 & was exactly the same time as an old raped set of DO1's half way worn. On the same day at wakefield. But proper R compound tyres should be quicker than the Azenis. maybe not quite 2.5 sec though. But it all depends on how long the track is I suppose.
At Wakefield I would have expected a difference of about 1 sec between Azenis & a set of DO1's

I had the RT215's on my Skyline and they were great. I was expecting better out of the 615's but alas, this is yet to happen. Infact, I'm slower @ QR on ALL tracks than I was when I had the stocko Toyos fitted and everyone hated the Toyos (except me)
So far, not really impressed with 'em and I too will be looking elsewhere when new tyres have to be purchased......
I did however notice the other day that I'll break traction into 2nd with the 615's at the Mazda tyre pressures but when its 3-6 psi less, I get none of that
