So I get that I'm obviously going to be pushing poo uphill in trying to get grip on a wet skid pan but having just snagged an entry into the Beat the Blue event in May and needing new tyres anyway, I thought I'd ask.
For those that haven't come across the event before, it's a charity event where members of the public get to race NSW police (in police cars) around a motorkhana style course setup on the skid pan at Eastern Creek. Last time it was run only about 10% of entrants managed to beat the cops, and of those the vast majority were AWD. So while I don't have high hopes, I still want to give it a proper go.
Looking for something to fit 15x7, is in stock now/able to be fitted within the next few weeks, will be good at dry tarmac motokhanas in the future but I'm willing to prioritise wet performance. Any suggestions?
Tyres for wet skid pan?

Re: Tyres for wet skid pan?
Yokohama A052 or Bridgestone RE71RS
Nothing else will touch them in 200TW "road" tyres.
A052 better than RE71RS for short stuff, cold weather, and 1 lap bandzai laps.
RE71RS better than A052 for track days. sprints etc.
Both will be better than any R-Spec, Semi slick, High end Performance road tyre etc at Motorkhana.
Both are faster than most R-Spec's for Sprints as well.
