Air Cups

Does anyone use air cups on their coilovers? It's a nose lift for lowered cars.
I'm just wondering if it will be compatible with my 2003 Bilsteins (has a tube instead of a contemporary shaft)?

I've wondered about these myself, not for the MX-5, but other cars. I've never looked into it more than just idle thought though. Do you have a specific product in mind you could link?

I'd think with the MX-5, if it fit, it would rob you of shock travel. I also think you'd need adjustable coilovers, or you'll be jacking the car up by the depth of the cup, which even when deflated wouldn't be insignificant.

Thanks Bruce, never heard of them, and followed up. Could be useful for me on my dirt access road ...

They seem pretty customisable, and yes they do require adjustable perches - I think they require 30mm perch adjustment or you need shorter springs, and they lift by 50mm. But you need a compressor and air cylinder to activate them, so you will lose boot space.

An interesting concept, but I have other worries right now ...

Google Air cups and stanceworks.
Fits coilovers. Won't work with my 2003 Bilsteins as the cups need a shaft for fitment, whereas mine have a thick tube all the way up (no shaft). All curenti-sh coilovers have a shaft.
Wanted only a front lift system (air compressor only) with no tank. Discovered u can buy the exact same thing a little cheaper from the US. The Chinese version is actually a lot dearer.
I'm not replacing my coilovers for these so will have to keep my car on stilts look (else it scrapes everywhere).

Also discovered a HLS system which actually uses hydraulic fluid and pump but it costs a lot of money. Targeted at Porsches and their Porsche budget.
