Postby wasp47 » Thu Apr 12, 2018 12:17 pm

Hi
Do the SE Bilsteins have a different spring perch height from the NB.
Cheers

They're different shock and coil assemblies completely. Different springs and different dampers with different valving.

I couldn't tell you if the perch height is different though, if you're wondering about spring length?

Hey Steven, it just occurred to me that I have my old set of SE shocks on the shelf in the garage. If you let me know where you want measurements taken from I can check it out this weekend. I can't measure the unbound spring height as they are assembled, but I can measure say top hat to perch, perch to bottom bolt, overall length, etc.

Another silly question
The two studs in the top suspension mounts that go up through the body, are they welded on or splined.
Cheers

Splined if I recall. (if you look from underneath you can see the flat head on them to stop them pulling through.

However, the top perch is welded on (or bonded in some other way that doesnt allow for removal without damage), and does not allow for enough room to press the studs out.
