Hello,
From reading posts here about factory rims on a '99 mx5 it appears they were either sprayed silver with a clear coat or were a natural alloy with a clear coat, either way can anyone clarify whether it was a gloss, satin or matt clear coat? Im thinking about painting the factory rims on my '99 and would like to retain originality. Thanks, bob

Re: clear coat on rims
I'll answer my own question . I used a duplicolour rattle can, DSH89, quicksilver, with a couple coats clear coat. Absolute great bright silver even without clear coat, but clear coat will help keep the brake dust and grime out
