Why sell someone a 205/50/15 for $180 when you can sell them a 215/45/15 for $250

It also works the other way
NC come stock with 205 45 17
Michelin Pilot ps3 in that size $290
Same tyre but in 215 45 17 $158 ---------- on special at Bob Jane at the moment $148

Yep, since 215/45/17 is a very common fitment on a lot of cars.
But 205/45/15 is a weird size

Same as the price jump from a 195/50/15 to a 205/50/15, and then the even larger jump to a 215/45/15 (if you can find someone selling that size)
