There's internetz rumours that Megan coilovers are made at the same factory as BC coilovers and are the low-end (read "cheap") BC coilovers.

Megan coilovers don't have a good reputation in the US.

As Magpie pointed out, you do get what you pay for. Since they're an expensive item, make sure you're getting what you want as opposed to what you can afford right now (ie. wait until you can afford decent coilovers, you'll be happier in the long run and wont have wasted your money).

For the record, I have BC Racing BR series coilovers and recommend them as a good value coilover (plenty of users too in Fast Fours & Rotaries builds too).

I've got BCs as well.
They're nice, no issues.
If you're just after a sporty ride and lowering, don't discount something like koni yellows. They have height adjustment and will be less firm than the BCs, which can be frustrating if you need to deal with speed bumps etc. on a regular basis.

Hey Mate,

I know you said you're not in the market for coilovers but for future reference about YS.

I've had 3 sets of YS on 3 different cars, NA6, NB8A and 350Z. Sold the NA6 but still have the other two. YS are a cheaper coilover and get bagged a lot on this forum for some reason. My personal experience is that I like them and have no issue with them at all.
If fact some of the fastest mx5's racing run YS. I know this for a fact. The only thing that I would suggest is to order a softer spring for the NA as you place your order. Don't forget there are 2 types, one for racing and the other for street use.

I like them so much I bought a set for my 350Z. They are soft and compliant. Look good also and very good bang for your dollar.
Most people who bag them have never had a set and are only spreading third hand information.
You won't be disappointed if you bought them.

Regards - John

Saw them. Personally ill be cautious. I bought second hand kyb shocks and eichab lowered springs and personally really happy with the result. Just the height i wanted and it has stiffness adjustment.

not only that. the pictures have been cropped. and also some pictures are from a UK seller. i'd guess a scam seller. i'd assume product does not exist.
