Hey guys,
Before anyone says yes I know the topic has been beaten to death BUT I cant seem to find any brake pads that are in AUS and ready to ship ASAP.
It seems to be either OEM stuff or light track and beyond.
I'm after something similar to Hawk HPS/EBC greenstuff
The purpose being for spirited daily driving and fast putty/old pac/wisemans use.
Hawk HP+ has a wait at Mania. Does anyone have any links for my other options if any? Im looking to order ASAP.
Thanks in advance

Re: brake pads for sports use
QFM hpx from brakes direct? Or anything else they could recommend.
I have a used set of na8/nba hps pads front and rear you can buy if you want. They glazed in my car for some reason, potentially while owned by previous owner (car had a busted booster when I got it.
I replaced them with A1RM and they sit in a box at home now... Throw me an offer, I'm in Brisbane.

Re: brake pads for sports use
Order Hawk pads from Amazon and will be here in a week and cheaper than any Australian reseller.
Another Option, if you have a NA6 using the standard brakes, you can order me a set of pads from the states through Hawk Pads Direct and you can have my set of pads, brand new in box and front and rear, for the cost of of a replacement set to my place plus postage of the set I have to you, or they can be picked up from Brisbane.

No worries, brakes direct had my pads delivered to my office in under 4 hours! Sure I'm in the same city but it was still impressive. You won't get hawks through them but the stock plenty of good stuff.

Green stuff is the equivalent to a stock pad. Get Red stuff.
MX5parts will have it to your door in 4 - 5 days.
Unless you have slotted rotors HPS will fade after repeated appplications.

Re: brake pads for sports use
I recently upgraded to Bendix Ultimates in my NA8, along with standard replacement DBA rotors and Nulon Extreme brake fluid. I've no experience with any other performance brakes for comparison purposes, however compared to the previous brake setup in the car the upgrade is phenomenal.
Far higher braking forces can be achieved before lockup, response is immediate, I can even feel what each wheel is doing on the verge of lockup now. They held up brilliantly at the recent Wakefield track day, enabling me to brake much harder and later, and for spirited driving on the street they're excellent.
Only downside is minor brake squeal and reduced braking force on the first application when cold, however this is nothing compared to the benefits and goes away after the first corner.
Again, I've no experience with other brands of performance pads, and originally I intended to go for Hawk HP+ however I was in a similar boat and couldn't get them at short notice. Bendix are stocked at Supercheap/Autobarn, I got mine ordered in and they came 2 days later. No regrets on my part, especially as they're much cheaper as well (under $200 a set from SCA, vs. almost $200 a pair for HP+). Food for thought at least

Re: brake pads for sports use
A1RM +1 they are so much better than green stuff.
However my next set of pads will be Winmax. Have a look at a document that they produce to help you make a choice http://www.motorsportbrakes.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/winmax-chart-sheet.pdf. I'm looking at W5's.
If interested in Winmax contact Marty Beckton (Motorsport Brakes Pty Ltd, Gold Coast) 0404 023 535 (marty@motorsportbrakes.com.au)

How else will I get a good deal on my pads . I met Marty at the Ausgarge show and we had a good chat and hence I'll be giving the Winmax pads a try in a couple of months. At the moment I have no issues with the A1RM's and nothing but praise for the service from Brakes Direct.

Re: brake pads for sports use
I have recently bought Hawk Blues - two sets, one from V-Sport and another from Race Brakes in Sydney - on both occasions it cost me maybe $20-$25 per set more than buying overseas with shipping, and on both occasions they had them in stock.
The only reason I went with V-Sport the second time around is that I just happened to be driving past there for another reason... but they were efficient and helpful, as were Race Brakes Sydney - I wouldn't hesitate to use either supplier again and the cost difference is so minor it doesn't justify the wait IMO.
