thanks guys, it seems a bit of a murky area but threw the persistence of checking different descriptions I've found the below two links, which seem to be the applicable part
http://www.miataroadster.com/mazda/mazd ... 12314.aspx
http://www.v8roadsters.com/product-p/bp-strk.htm (gulp expensive)
I'm not smart enough to figure out if the below is OK for my lowered beastie

MX5 Parts one sounds like it's the standard version, ie non- US '93 LE or R Package version. Think you'll find that many that have lowered have not changed from the standard version. So MX5 Parts version would be useable, but you may find some benefit from the Miata Roadster ones linked above. May be ask MX5 Parts if they have the US '93 LE or R Package version? However, note UK didn't get the R Package/ Clubman, or the US '93 LE that used these different tie rod ends due to having Bilsteins fitted. UK did get a '93 SE, which didn't sound like it had Bilsteins fitted. Indeed, don't believe even the '93 LE we got had Bilsteins fitted.
Tks for the Miata Roadster link above - I'll put it into the Clubman FAQ.
