Just wondering if anyone has installed the hard dog bolt in door bars, or a door bar more generally (AGI or Boss Frog) and whether there is a noticable difference when installed. My only purpose is to eliminate as much scuttle shake as possible with the hard top off.
Cheers

One of the only off the shelf braces that actually work.

Re: DOOR BARS - bolt in bar
The mad dog looks simple and appears "neat" as opposed to the boss frog. Given the boss frog has three mounting points as opposed to the two does/would this make it a better bar door or do they achieve the same functional outcome?.

3 point is probably stiffer. Have you looked into their legality?

Re: DOOR BARS - bolt in bar
Pretty commonly used on tracked mx'ers in the US haven't seen them used here.
Re: DOOR BARS - bolt in bar
I've taken it that they would be illegal. I used to drive this thing with the hardtop on but am increasingly driving it with the soft top down and hate the way it drives with the hardtop off. I am really trying to stiffen the thing up to that standard. What I might do is purchase and install the frog arms first and if that rectifies the cowl shake then I'll leave it at that that. Thanks for the feedback.

I'm not sure about the door bars but the Ultra Racing fender braces I added to my car made a massive difference in the front end feel and reduced cowl shake on my 89. Highly recomend them and they are cheap.

I had a few PMs asking where I got the fender braces from. They were $145 delivered from Singapore! Had them in 3 days and free shipping! I don't know how they make money

I have AGI bolt in door bars, they look great, hold the chassis secure and match my half cage.

Just had a look at the fender brace linked by racinglogic.
Quite the bargain, noticeable difference after installation?
Kind regards.

Noticeable difference. You even notice it when you jack up the car!
For the price I'm sure most of us have spent more than that on bits that do absolutely nothing.
