To present the contrarian view from when I bought my 6ULs about May or June last year: I rang MX5 Centre on a Friday afternoon, spoke to someone straight away (wasn't James) and placed the order. They were shipped on Monday morning and arrived in Sydney on Tuesday morning.

It was all about $40-50 per corner cheaper than those prices direct from 949 too, so nearly $200 saved all up and (in my experience) the service was fine. I understand if others had a rubbish experience, but not all were like that.

I must admit my only experiences with MX5 Centre have been completely positive, always helpful and well priced...
The world is full of different people and opinions, sad to see the guy slammed so regularly as to me he always offered good service and prices.

Last time I looked, it was about $860 shipped ex Melb to WA.
US$ needs to tank before that is matched.

I've dealt with mx5 centre twice and have never really had an issue. Once was to purchase a set of 15x10 6uls in person and a set of braided brake lines over the phone. Even bought a set of valves at the same time and thought thy miscounted, they offered to replace whatever was short if I didn't find them even if I was at fault.

From memory I paid 1100 for the four rims.

Before people name drop consider the reputation of forum sponsors.

Hence why I wasn't naming individuals or companies.

Pricing is similar, just the availability is better with a larger variety of colour options.

My first purchase of 6ULs went fine without a hitch. I've been on again, off again trying to buy another set. Had no joy attempting to purchase again from same retailer. But now I have the option to purchase direct from supplier. Yes it is about $15 per wheel more, but worth it to to me as I can get the product I require and updates regards future production runs. Hence my hooray. The thread wasn't a dig at anyone. Was just information on purchasing them in the future.
