BC racing coilovers

Hey, so I was just wondering how people have gone about setting up their BC Racing coilovers for track work? Not talking about the best stance, asking purely about the performance side of things.

It's VERY dependent on your car setup.

First time out at Lakeside I used 4 from HARD at front and 6 from HARD at rear (you want the rears a little softer than the front for additional grip at the rear so you can get more power down). That felt OK. It was my first time at the track so I left them there and focused more on track familiarisation.

Later at QR I used 2 from HARD at front and 4 from HARD at rear. I was planning on playing with the settings but it rained after the 1st session and we switched to a different track layout half way through so I left them there.

I'd suggest setting the fronts at the HARDest setting and rears at 2-from HARD initially, then progressively bump them 5 clicks each (this should produce a noticeable difference) until you recognise that the handling has gotten worse. Fine tuning can go from there.

I was more thinking in terms of dialing in an appropriate preload, and at what ride height they are most happy

the preload should already be set from factory. the rest of your answers can be found on the bc coilover thread if you use the search function, you should find it. as other memebrs gave reviews and feedback on setups/quality etc.

My setup sounds similar to Lokiel's however mine are the ER's (8kg front, 6 kg rear). ER model has separate adjustment for rebound and bump.

Current set up - Front/Rear clicks from full soft:
Bump: 25/10
Rebound: 23/20

I will be at QR tomorrow so I will play a little more with the settings, may even try Lokiel's suggestion of full hard.

Ride height is about 100mm at the side, front is a bit lower due to garage vary front lip. Exact height of each corner differs on mine as it has been corner balanced. I have a 24mm front sway bar and no rear sway bar plus a 4.1 torsen diff.
