Yesterday I was at Wakefield. Was slippery as heck.
Kept fiddling with tyre pressures, because it felt like they were too high / hot, slippery and squealing.
There was a drift weekend at Wakefield the previous 2 days. i.e. an awful lot of rubber laid down, and you could see the black lines and rubber. I thought over the day the rubber would get worn off, but it stayed like that pretty much right through, although it improved marginally.
Has anybody experienced this?
Anyone tracked after a drift day / weekend?

Had similar problems at Oran Park back in the day but yet to really notice it Wakefield. AFAIK the drifting polishes the tarmac so even though there's plenty of rubber laid the stones in the tarmac lose a lot of jaggedness that the rubber forms into. It got better at Oran but I don't know how long it really took.

Also the fact that it's burnt rubber not rubber that has worn off means its very low grip, you should try driving on it just after it starts raining. It's super slippery then.
