Tie rod replacement

Postby specmiata » Thu Jul 19, 2012 2:22 pm

Having never done it before has anyone seen a good step-by-step guide to replacing tie rods / ends on an MX5 i can use?

Have searched here with no luck....

Thanks

buy a repair manual or borrow one from a library. These are low cost items that cover the maintenance and repair of cars. Any manual is better than none at all.

The Mazda factory workshop manual is available on the web for download somewhere.

It covers pretty much everything on the MX5. THe only problem is that being designed for Mazda mechanics, it does assume that you know the basics and in some cases have access to specialty tools (but some lateral thinking means you can often use a normal tool for the same job)

Thanks all, doing it this weekend. Have bought a Haynes Manual, and will have lap top on stand by.

Let you know which is the easiest to follow...
