Rear Caliper Slider Pin dust cap

Postby rascal » Tue Apr 24, 2012 2:36 pm

Does anyone know whether you can buy just the dust cap that goes on the slider pins? (arrowed in pic below)
I've lost one of mine and keep getting dirt etc on the slider pin which doesnt help it to slide..

mx5parts in UK have a caliper rebuild kit which has the dust cap in it. but these are $25 per side, which makes an expensive dust cap..

Mazda Aust would prob want me to buy a whole caliper.......

I'll check in my shed to see if I still have any rear brake spare parts.

In the mean time you could check the folowing:

Allmaz in Clayton

MX-5 Factory in Ringwood

Hey Rascal, I need to thank you. While looking to see if I had a spare dust cap I found another part that I needed to fix one of my rear brakes. :)

The good news is that I did find a dust cap. You are welcome to come and collect it from Chelsea (and watch me botch the install of a pair of Morel split speakers).
