Dust is annoying, but not as high on the priority list as having something that's capable of both track and daily. I'm currently on EBC greens, and I reckon they're pretty dusty as it is. Hopefully the HP plus aren't any worse.
So, it seems like they're a good option for daily?

Re: Hawk Brake Pads
They are well renowned as a good all rounder with track ability. Guran runs these on his 'Australias fastest stock na6'.
Get over some dust and they seem great.

Re: Hawk Brake Pads
What're they like on rotors? Are they pretty tough on them? I'm thinking about doing a rotor upgrade as well since the OEM ones are pretty thin.

Re: Hawk Brake Pads
I've used 5 sets of HP+ front pads for one set of rotors. I can't give any sensible estimate of life as a road car but this equates to 40 track days.
Thin rotors are much more prone to overheating on the track anyway.

Before these I used Bendix Ultimates which produced about 4 times the dust and rotor wear and only 75% of the stopping power of HP+. I think most of the dust was actually iron powder from the rotors.
Seems strange, im running Ultimates on mine atm, and they don't dust anywhere near as much as my Hawks do. Maybe I got a bad batch of Hawks pads or something.

Sounds like a good compromise to me. I'd rather a high level of stopping on the track (and on the street) over a super long life, so it seems like they'll suit. Now I just need to decide which rotors to get... Suggestions?
