The Toyo TEO plus is a tyre designed for long tread life, low noise and high levels of ride comfort. It is not a performance tyre, and for that reason I would not recommend it for an MX5

I recently put some new wheels on my car (15x7's) with 205/50 15 Toyo proxes 4's. Have only done about 1000km on them but am very happy with the grip they offer and at $149 a tyre they weren't too pricey either.

Just becareful in the wet with the Proxes4.... they are polar opposites between dry and wet. Wet has less than half the grip and is not progressive at all (it just spins off without warning).

Thanks for the suggestions everyone - I'm going for the Bridgestone Supercat 205/55/15. I'll report back once I have some kilometres on them
