PPF Rear bolts etc.

Postby hks_kansei » Thu Nov 17, 2011 1:46 pm

So, in an extremely annoying chain of events my NB8A decided to have one of the PPF bolts vibrate loose and come free.

I still have the long bolt (thank god for lowered cars!) but unfortunately I seem to have lost the press fit nut from the top.

Out of the two PPF bolts at the diff, it was the front one.

Is there anything else that may have gone missing when the bolt came free? (spacers or something?)
or can the spacers only be removed when I take the PPF off the Diff completely?

would anybody have a diagram that shows how the rear PPF bolts/spacers/nuts are arranged so I can see what's gone missing?

Thanks all.

The spacer for the front bolt can only be taken out with the PPF and diff assmembly separate. Here is a snapshot from the manual, which also has Mazda part numbers. :DIY: :DIY:

Cool, glad to hear that!

I've managed to get a replacement for the press fit nut thing, so hopefully it's simply a matter of putting that in and tightening it all back up.
