Adrenalin RE002

Postby Hammer » Sat Jun 04, 2011 10:26 pm

As I've posted on the other thread....

The latest Bridgestone winter catalog shows a new Adrenalin. The Adrenalin RE002. This looks like a replacement for the RE001.

Sadly, the RE002 does not come in 14' like it did with the RE001. There goes my tyre of choice for my NA to use for the track. :(

So any recommendation on a great tyre to replace the RE001 to be used for the track on size 185/60/14 (not slick or semi-slick)? I need to comply with Class 1 of the club track day.

Thanks for the info Hammer, i'm unsure of the class specifications for tyres, but I do think i will buy a set of these to test them out.

Allan, are you sure the RE001s are not available to you anymore? Check this thread for previous discussion.

But if you're really keen for a change, I hear the Triangle TR918s are awesome! You'll love 'em for Class 1!

I was hoping to find them in Octagonal, or at least Square.

Has anyone obtained prices of the RE002's yet? Are they comparable to the RE001's?

Here's what's on the current Bridgestones winter catalogue...

    ~ 195/55/15 - $159
    ~ 205/55/16 - $209
    ~ 225/55/16 - $209
    ~ 225/50/16 - $189
    ~ 235/45/17 - $249
    ~ 245/45/18 - $439

Nope that is not a typo on my part. It seems the 225/50/16 is cheaper than the 225/55/16. Perhaps the 50 is more common hence economies of scale.
