Any idea of the cost of a reline and rotors?

I am trying to negotiate a deal right now but without a value on a reline I'm not sure

I would definitely recommend going the DBA slotted path, genuine rotors are made from plasticine.

also, update your location so people can recommend things more local to you, the knowledge you seek is dependent on the knowledge you give 8)

Mazda would probably ask anywhere from $150 to $180 for front pads, maybe slightly less for rears. Numerous other manufacturer options available, but the genuine Mazda ones (not "Mazda approved" as some Mazda dealers will want to sell you) are a very good pad and will even tolerate the occasional track day.

Discs, try and avoid Mazda ones, as there is better quality out there for similar, if not lower price - try DBA. Budget about $150 per corner.

Labour to fit all of this? $100 to $150 probably.

DIY is very easy on these cars, although there is a little trick to changing rear pads. So if you're half way inclined to get your hands dirty on the car, give it a go yourself.

Is a reline new braided lines??

You can get top of the line DBA 4000 series rotors around 200 each (thats NB8B with the 270mm front rotors)

Fitting rotors to your car is kinda easy DIY project...

BTW if the car has only done 134 k km its hard to imagine you need new rotors, you may want to measure its thickness before you spend the coin getting new ones??

I can't believe you guys are dissing OEM rotors. Unless you are scorching around a race track, they are fine and are very good value. OEM rotors are a different metalurgical composition to aftermarket rotors which makes them wear differently. OEM rotors are higher in iron content and hence will last longer but perhaps not give the ultimate in stopping that a rotor higher in carbon (DBA for eg) might. I've used OEM on my road car since new (2001), they are fine.

I am with CT if the car is just dríven normally. You can get all the work done without any prob with the local brake guys ( ie people that do it all day every day) - and they will give you a price on the spot. I would have a multiple choice within a 15min drive- closest 5 mins. You need only to replace the rotors when they are no longer able to be machined ie down to min thick.
