If his going to be going through Macquaire Past or Putty road everyday and his going to be doing some sprited driving then yes well have to consider some premium rubber. Otherwise its a waste of cash..
I disagree, buy tyres as good as or better than what the factory fitted.
I don't see the point of buying a sports car then reducing the performance. Tyres are the probably the best bang for back performance and safety item you can fit to any car.
Even if you don't push the limits of the tyres 99.5% of the time that .5% might just safe your life, the life of your passenger or a complete stranger in the other lane/footpath/school etc.
I just got a new set of tyres for my NA, the other tyres on the wheels still had about 70% tread but were old and cheap tyres. I didn't want to risk driving on them. The difference is chalk and cheese.
