Anyone tried Dunlop DZ101s on an MX5?
I can highly reccommend them as i have been through a few sets now on my lancer (110 - 115kw-ish 1995 Coupe) and they are pretty impressively sticky in both the dry and the wet (to the point where i could pretty much launch as hard in the wet as the dry, pretty impressive given the open diff, stupidly low gearing and fairly hefty (for a 1.8 at least!) torque.
Good steering feel and Lasted a fair while too, cant remember how many Ks, but they did not seem to suffer much for being quite soft.
Looking at about $140-$150 a tyre in 195/50/15, Give em a go

Dunlop DZ101s
I have DZ-101's on my NA6, 205/50/15.
No complaints with the grip, they're relatively quiet (not that tyre noise is an issue in a MX5!), and after 20k kms don't appear to be wearing excessively.
Think I paid $190 ea for them, two years ago (205/15)
