Brake pads for the rear

Postby zawrilla » Fri Jul 18, 2008 2:30 pm

Hey,
Well I've decided to go for some Hawk HP+ for the fronts on my NA8, but probably won't pick it for the rears.
I'm looking at majority of street driving and odd track day. I really didn't like how my current pads performed (no idea what they are, were on the car when I bought it) on the road and track. They're a bit worn and definitely need a fluid change which will get done this time round.
So, question is, what should I run on the rears. Would something like Bendix Advance be sufficient, considering it's for the rears. I don't want to spend $150+ for the rears, only to find I don't even heat them up to a good operating temp.

Doh!
Kula is selling EBC Greenstuff rears but they are for NA6.
Why not try Hawk HPS for the rear?
I have a set of these (Front and rear) that Im dying to install into mine.

Im getting OEM pads for the rear breaks from mx5 parts UK. (need the W spings, and shims).

From my understanding OEM isnt that bad for daily driving and occasional track day.
every ounce counts
