NC Wheel & Tyre Selection Question

Postby orx626 » Thu Dec 06, 2007 6:25 pm

Hi there, a friend of mine is looking to purchase some rims in 17x8 with a 45mm offset fitted with 215/45 R17 tyres. Can anyone confirm if this combination will be OK from a clearance point of view when fitted to an NC?

Cheers,
Danny

215s will fit fine with a 45 offset.

225s which is the correct size for the 8\" rim, will probably just miss on the rear lip if his NC is lowered.

I'm running 16 x 8 with a 50 offset and 225 x 50 D01s on track days and the rears have caught the lip of the guard once.

I'd go for a 225 x 40 tyre and if they catch get the rear lip rolled. A lot of the US NCs are running 235 tyres but they need to roll the lip to fit.
