16\" vs 18\" Rims for NA6

Postby JSE » Mon Jul 17, 2006 5:46 pm

Ok so im looking for some new wheels for my NA6. I have 15\" wheels on there now but they are getting old and I want new ones. I want the Black with Machined/polished lip as the style (the same as I have on there now - refer to signature).

I want 17\" wheels but I cannot find any 17\" black with polished lip wheels in a 4 stud pattern........all that I could find were in 5 stud pattern. And I would not be keen on modifying the brakes to a 5 stud conversion.

I did find one wheel, but problem is it only comes in 16\" or 18\" sizes...not 17\" GO FIGURE! http://www.bsawheels.com.au/users/ProductDetail.aspx?id=275 however I still want it to be not such a harsh ride - sigh 18s will ruin that and the handling

So i was wondering if anybody could help me out to find some of these styled wheels? Or could tell me how 18's are on a NA6 or post pictures of 16's vs 18's on a NA6...

Thanks in advance

I think PASHN8 has these wheels... You might want to ask him.

Why wouldn't they have 17's? That is just plain weird. Have you rung the suppliers or manufacturers?

These are Chaparral wheels, same as those on Peter's (pcmx5) '97 LE, but with a different finish.

Very sexy IMHO

If you want better handling don't go bigger than 16\". 18\" are for looks only.

I'd go for these!

And on a car...

Of course they are bloody expensive, but BSA make some nice cheap copies (BSA 345).

I think I might put them on my car...

Where in Aus can you get the Chaparrals from? or were they privately imported?

I have seen these with a polished lip and gold centre and look awesome.
