Just wondering if you can get any rim re-drilled? If I can get a cheap set of wheels in 5-stud (and there are enough out there), could they be re-drilled? If so, approx how much?
Or are there way too many variables to even consider it?

Why bother bevan? plenty of cheap wheels around in 4x100 already. redrilling requires precise alignment to work assuming enough meat in the centre (a 5x120 would probably leave enough room depending on the design) and would not be inexpensive. get it wrong and you would throw the wheel away. It is done occasionally, usually for historic race cars where original wheels are no longer made, and the holes are generally welded first then redrilled, with the wheel undergoing fresh heat treatment and crack detection prior to use. V expensive....
