NA6 handbrake adjustment?

Postby mightyrollaman » Sat Feb 18, 2006 9:41 pm

Just had a look on the big forum and can't see the procedure listed. How do you do it properly?

if you just want to tighten or loosen it (ie both sides at once) then youpull the cover off the handbrake and turn the little hollow hexagon thingy.

But if you want to adjust each side independently then you go under the car and look for the cable adjustments near the brakes and you just tighten or loosen them.
Sorry this isnt really indepth buts its a fairly basic thing which you cant really get wrong. If you've ever adjusted the brakes on a pushbike or the accelerator cable then you can do this no worries.

Chime in anyone else with greater detail, hope my dodgy explanation helped.

Cheers, easy as. The impression I was getting was that it could only be done from the calipers.
