N/A Catch can setup

Looking to set up dual catch can (I happen to have 2 available to me).

Non turbo, NB8B with VVT.
What's the best option for catch can setup for these?
I'm assuming non vented on PCV side and just run in line.
On other side, should I vent it or plumb into the intake pipe?

Also, is steel/brass wool still the go to for filter media in these?

Any tips appreciated.

Cheers

I'm no expert, but this MT.net thread has more info than you'll ever need. It covers N/A as well as forced induction setups.

Done a search?

Search is your friend, this is a well worn subject, plenty of info out there, probably even some on this site.

Anyone who is into high power high performance MXs needs to be at least a casual lurker on this site. They can be rough on newbies who expect others to do their searching for them, they sometimes lapse into fanboi-ism, but there is a lot to be learned there.

Do you really need two catchcans? Real estate in the engine bay is limited, I'd avoid as far as possible more clutter than is needed.

Thanks Paul, I'll check it out!

Green Machine: I did do a search here and surprisingly didn't turn up much which I thought was odd.
I'll check out that other forum quietly and see what I find.

I don't "need" as such but happened to have 2 of the same at my disposal from other builds so thought why not?
I'm still N/A atm so have a bit more real estate to play with luckily. I'll just delete the exhaust side one when I run out of space.
