Blackbird Fabworx Engine Mounts

I'm looking at getting some of the Blackbird Fabworx Engine Mounts.

Pending some measurements on the weekend I will more than likely go for the ones that lower the engine.

At the moment the cost of freight for one set is $90US. Whilst I'm not interested in doing a group buy, there maybe some savings on freight if a few people were interested.

If there are any people interested get in contact with Blackbird Fabworx and we will see if the starts can align and have a few sent over in the one package.

We also stock the only one you need for 99% of applications, however ours are stock height.

STOP posting stuff like this - I want the low-mounts too but my New Year's resolution is NO more spending on car stuff until the TSE kit is installed!

I'm asking now, however I expect around $255/280 US plus shipping.

To quote from a certain Monty Python Movie:

MAÎTRE D: And finally, monsieur, a wafer-thin mint.
MR. CREOSOTE: Nah.
MAÎTRE D: Oh, sir, it's only a tiny, little, thin one.
MR. CREOSOTE: No. $uck off. I'm full.
MAÎTRE D: Oh, sir. Hmm?
MAÎTRE D: It's only wafer thin.
MR. CREOSOTE: Look. I couldn't eat another thing. I'm absolutely stuffed. Bugger off.
MAÎTRE D: Oh, sir, just-- just one.
MR. CREOSOTE: All right. Just one.
MAÎTRE D: Just the one, monsieur. Voilà.
MAÎTRE D: Bon appétit.

Ours are $199 inc delivery Australia wide, but you only get the hotside. In our experience this is all anyone ever needs (with the exception of the 500whp crew). They dont lower the engine and they arent blingy or JDM, they just locate the gear selector very well and don't fail at all.

Feel free to delete this if it's inappropriate here, however we created these because there wasnt a cost effective local option and we have found that most people wanted it and only bought overseas because they had to, and i thought maybe that is the case here.

Thanks,
Dann

No complaints from me Dann, did not even know that you made them.

This is the sort of information forums are for, to educate users about what's available, what works, what doesn't and other options available.
Like most people, I don't read every thread so posting this in multiple threads is a good thing IMO since I may have missed it if it only appeared in a dedicated thread.

I hope I can help some people...

I struggled to get the right engine mount solution for the right price and drama free (customs, import taxes dollar conversions waiting for shipping it) so I decided to produce the best value solution, a no frills race mount, for the side of the engine that benefits from it, posted for cheap.

I was having to call 949 or GWR and ask for a custom invoice for just the hotside mount, and it was costing a fortune when you factored in shipped tax and time.

We now have these mounts on the shelf for $199 and I can guarantee all but the most hardcore high horsepower racers need only this part to solve their problems/improve their race experience.

Daffy on this forum:

"The driveline is rock solid now. There is virtually nil play in the shifter, it snaps into gear like a bear trap and feels as smooth as silk through the changes. Combined with the PPF “ironman” brace, the throttle response through the the driveline is well and truly transformed, with the power getting down un interrupted to the back wheels and the car pulling harder on the gear changes without the previous driveline twist (breaking traction on boost into 3rd gear even with the AD08R’s!) just brilliant!
The slight NVH (noise vibration harshness) in my opinion is minimal- the “problem child” was already a loud rumbler, so apart from watching the bonnet dance a little more now when idling at the lights and having a light massage through the drivers seat- theres no issues there for mine! The “bunny hopping” when the engine comes off load and crawling through stop start traffic is now all but eliminated.
Dann, you have built a quality product mate!"

"With a 1st place division win and 9th outright in the Winton 300 2017 I wanna say Big thanks to Nitro Dann for the race engine mount, two days before the event realised mine was in two pieces, After a super easy install was replaced with Nitro Danns piece and gotta say never missed a gear change the whole 300km race."

Just received this Blackbird Fabworx Engine Mounts:
The mounts (for a pair) are $255 (US) for the 94-00 (any version) and $280 (US) for the 01-05 (again, any version).
"Any version" meaning standard height or drop mounts, Competition bushings or Street Performance bushings (lower NVH).

In the alternative, in AUD (and made local):

Get one of Dann's mounts and order a Mazdaspeed Mount for the other side from Amayama for $60-80 or so.
https://www.amayama.com/en/part/mazda/nay139040

I've got the 949 Hybrid mount system, which puts the poly mount on the other side to Dann's and includes a Mazdaspeed mount. I'm pretty sure my Mazdaspeed mount has already ripped after about a year and a half.

We stock the MazdaSpeed mount also, about 25% of people opt to order one with the hotside solid mount.

We pass them on at the price Mania charges us, $75

Josh, the way the US mounts are sold (solid on the coldside oem/MS on the hotside) was always suspicious to me because it makes no sense from an engineering perspective, the engine simply loads the mounts in a way
That determines the solid one should be on the hotside.

Exactly why I'm suspicious mine may have ripped already. With their design the motor pulls on the rubber mount when it twists. With yours the engine pushes on the rubber mount when it twists. One way will be way harsher on a rubber mount than the other.

So are you using this quote and accompanying "Dodgy" photo on the Facebook page too? (a lot of effort went into that photo :P )
