ND Gearbox Known Replcements - Australia - Facts Only

Postby CeramicND » Wed Dec 13, 2017 10:23 pm

Okay, as I have now seen two 2.0 manual gearbox failures in Australian ND's, and know of one 1.5 Auto replaced due to noise issues maybe it's time to keep a record of Australian problems on file. I will start a seperate discussion thread and would ask that this thread be left for recording purposes only. So, the facts as I know them.

1.5 Auto replaced for noises I believe, not totally sure of what the exact circumstances were. 2015 build car took a couple of service requests for Mazda to assess and replace the gearbox.

1st 2.0 manual failure 14/10/17 at Wakefield in an unregistered/uninsured track only car that was previously water damaged write off. Late 2015 build, I don't know how many Kay's the car has done. Owner replaced the gearbox. Car has minor suspension mods, muffler and old r-spec tyres as far as I know.

2nd 2.0 manual failure 18/11/17 at SMSP South circuit in a registered unmodified GT. Late 2015 build. The owner told the dealership that the car has attended club track days and the gearbox was replaced under warranty.

Are there any other gearbox failures?
Eibach Springs, Racing Beat Sport/Race Muffler, Shorai/Arrows Battery Kit, Nielex Knuckle Supports, Advanti 17 x 7 S2's, Hankook 215/45/17 RS3's.
