hi chaps. just noticed that my front inner passenger side CV boot is completely torn. the next day I took it to the track anyway :)

is it worth putting a new boot on and hoping for the best, or grab a reco half shaft? when I had a Subaru the reco shafts were the clear winner as they were plentiful. have no idea where to get a decent na shaft. car isn't drĂven much so no sure how bad the problem is/will become.

If the joint feels good and doesn't clunk/click I'd just buy a boot for $5 and re-pack it.

Messy, but cheap.

If you find a source for decent cv shafts post it up, mine click a bit so I should probably pretend to care and fix them.
