Leaking clutch fluid

I just recently installed new front discs and pads to my Clubman and then did a brake fluid flush. I had some brake fluid left over (Dot 3) so rather than through it away because it doesn't keep once opened, i replaced and bleed my old clutch fluid.

All went well but now i have a small leak where fluid is slowly dripping down the back of the clutch pedal.

Is it safe to assume that this must be because the new fluid has destroyed the old seal on the clutch master cylinder?

Yea definitely the master cylinder.

Might be okay for a week or so but you will lose clutch pressure eventually.

Mine leaked the same, replaced with a bosch unit and hasnt failed yet after 8+ months

As Jordan said, it'll go at some point in the near future. Order the part asap.
Happened to me after also finding fluid on the clutch pedal.

Consider replacing the std clutch line with a braided one, about $100.The std one goes all around the engine bay while the braided one goes straight to the slave cylinder, easier to bleed, no twist and twirls, and IMO you get a much better clutch feel.
Cheers
