Hi all,

I wanted to find out if anyone has used this timing belt kit before?

Looks to be a good deal but wanted to get a second opinion before shelling out.

Cheers

Zac

Its a good kit but out of stock.
Try this from FAb9 Tuning
https://fab9tuning.com/engine/gaskets-seals/

Ive bought a heap of stuff from them.

I'd be a little weary of the Fab9 stuff.
Just as an example, they are offering rear main seals for $14, that would surely not be an OEM grade product at that price.

There's a reason I only use OEM seals, they just work. It's worth paying more for quality seals and the like...

Thanks guys. I'm thinking of going with the DIY kit I posted, but outsourcing for some OEM crank and cam seals just to be safe. Most of the other components of the kit look to be OEM anyway.

Does anyone have much of an opinion on GMB vs OEM water pumps? Found a bit of conflicting info so far with some people swearing by them and others saying steer clear. Any input appreciated.

Cheers.

GMB is a global parts manufacturer, & supplies OE & aftermarket. I'll bet Mazda doesn't make water pumps, so OE could well be made by GMB.

My understanding too - perhaps in the past some knock-offs were in circulation.

I had thought that was the case, just wondered if there was actually a significant difference that justified a 100$ price gap between GMB and "genuine mazda". I've got a better plan of attack to source the parts I need now so thanks everyone for the help :)
