Hi all,

Having removed my broken radiator I have discovered my nb mx5 has a m-tuned coolant reroute kit.
I would like to flush the system and am not sure what it the best way to do this with the reroute system. Also what's the easiest way to get the thermostat out? Access is difficult.

Appreciate any help.

Hi, there is some stuff that you can buy from supercheap or repco that you put in your radiator once you have emptied the old coolant out, you add the bottle and a couple litres of water and it cleans out the system, I've forgotten the name of it, but it is right next to all the coolant.
The thermostat on the mtuned kit dosnt sit right at the back of the engine bay, they run through the reroute line and are in there own houseing, should look something like this

At least I'm pretty sure that's how that kit works, I don't have the mtuned one, but I have looked into it

Thanks for the response.

I found the thermostat and after some struggle I eventually got it out. Just flushed with a hose but might give that stuff you mentioned a go.
