I had no muffler for the few days between when I sold my RSR exhaust and dug my factory one out of the shed.
Volume wise it was loud, idle at 100db by my meter, didn't bother measuring at revs.
Note wise it wasn't great, it was fairly agricultural.
(The rsr was just as loud, but less tractor sounding)
In saying that, mine is a non turbo, so already yours won't be as loud (still wouldn't be legal I imagine though)
Mine also has a high flow cat (50cel or something from memory) and they tend to add to the farm equipment gruffness.
So yeah, it shouldn't be too bad, but consider in future maybe investing in a resonator or hotdog to drop the volume a couple of notches, and to smooth out the potentially rough note.
