AN-6 to hardline adaptor Q

Hey guys, i had planned to use aeroflow AN-6 to 5/16" hardline adaptors (part no.# AF108-05BLK) mounted directly to fuel pump cover lines. I cut the end barbs off and was left with only 11/16" of pipe where 3/4" is suggested as minimum (at least for an Earls fitting).
Has anyone used (aeroflow) hardline adaptors on the hardlines coming out of fuel pump cover?Image

It is for AN braided line installation. Reduces the amount of joins between hardline, fuel hose and the braided line. Cookies worklog shows pics of a setup i believe he sourced from flyin miata that includes barb to AN fittings, was hoping to go from hardline straight to AN.

Unless you're using PTFE core hose, I'd just use a hose clamp finisher.

Thanks zossy1, lucky this is a spare pump cover as I'd already cut the end barbs off. I fit one of the hardline adaptors and it seems to have fit well, just don't particularly want them to fail and spray fuel all over the place.
I have used thes type of brass olive fittings on a previous build with no issues though I'd feel safer with the flared end type fittings, just cannot justify the cost of a flaring tool for one off use.
I have some hose finisher clamps somewhere in the shed, maybe fit a second extinguisher too just in case. :D
