ford motorcraft 75w-90 gl4 - Where to buy?

Postby ilovemassageparlours » Thu Sep 01, 2016 4:47 pm

Hi all

Anyone know anyplaces that sell Ford Motorcraft trans oil around Melbourne?

Or any similar GL4 oils in the same weight.

Thanks!

Ive used both the Amsoil MTG and Penrite Synth Pro Gear 75w-90... the Penrite seems good though I'm still getting a bit of syncro grinding when changing gears rapidly on the track. Slower shifting is fine.

Either oil is close to the best to use though so I'd try one of them before anything else.

yeah, reason for changing is grinding when shifting into 5th at high RPM and notice 1st-2nd is getting much harder in the mornings.

The US Ford Synthetic XT-M5-QS Gear Oil specification is WSD-M2C200-C
You can buy from Ford. Part No R1426 1L which matches this spec and is 75W-90 GL4.
I use it and have found it works well.
