Coolant reroute question

Hi,
i was searching up coolant reroutes and found this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRharubfD1E
i was just wondering if there is any difference between this and buying the m-tuned kit, it seems to me that whichever method i use it is still rerouting the coolant, the only difference i can really notice is that i can pick up all the parts from that youtube video for around $150, and the m-tuned kit is around $500 sent to aus. if i could get anyones opinion on why they think the m-tuned kit would be better (considering they have such a high rep) or why not to do it the youtube way, or if there is no difference between them, and I'm strictly talking about cooling the motor, I'm not fussed about how it looks, or additional outputs
Thanks

Add hoses to taste.

EDIT: Remember that the NB8B has a different head gasket to compensate for the bad cooling. Most reroute kit manufacturers say that reverting to a pre-NB8b head gasket is recommended if using a reroute.

NitroDann does a reroute kit and its a cracker. I have one on the white car and is easy to do yourself (relatively) and much better.

I did my coolant reroute on my NB8A for around $50.
Just swap the factory necks between front and back, (they're interchangeable) a length of alloy tube about $7 from action aluminum to run from back of head to radiator, two hoses to connect this tube to the rear neck and radiator $15 ea at supercheap/autobarn and 1m of heater hose to reach the heater barb on the neck now at the front.
There is a bung in the back of the head to put the temp sensor in to avoid needing to extend any wiring, and put that bung you remove into the neck now on the front to plug that hole.
Very easy, and been working perfectly for a few years and 20+ track days now..

see site:

the price is ok - $115us plus post. Maybe cheaper if a few of us do a group buy(i'd be in if we can share shipping costs)

Guy who makes them is discussed here
