AAAGH
Today, my foot and hand problem with gear shifts in ambition at Morgan park caught up with me and I have broken the socket that receives the gear selector ball on the selector fork in the rear gearbox turret.
at least it was the second last lap of the day after a very foggy start
Question; Does any know if this part can be sourced and replaced or is it a new gearbox ?
thanks

I've bent selector forks in the heat of battle but I've never smashed anything like that.
If it's the turrent shown as 17-551A
then Amayama stock it,
https://www.amayama.com/en/search?region=112&q=y601-17-470 ,though it may take them 2 or 3 weeks to get it to you.
Alternatively you might pay Mazda Australia 5 to 10 times that price for it and wait a bit longer.

NA/NB8A Mazda parts catalogues are on miata.net at
http://www.miata.net/garage/90-99Parts/I've got an NB8B catalogue as well. I'll add it to the technical guides on this forum.
