BP-Z3 (vvt) Intake cam wheel assembly torque

I have searched and haven't been able to find it, but does anyone happen to know or have any reference for the torque specs of the vvt cam wheel? For both the Torx fasteners, and the four M6 nuts on the front of the wheel. I have checked the nb8b service manual... nothing in there either.

Yeah, was going to use proof torque if I couldn't find the answer.
Had a feeling you'd be the one to reply though haha

Its in the NB8B service manual somewhere (at least the figures for the torx ones are, I would assume the others are as well). I looked them up a few weeks ago when I was re-assembling my engine, although I didn't remove the M6 ones as I didn't dis-assemble the VVT assembly. It proved to be a little pointless for me anyway, my torque wrench didn't read low enough for the torx ones...
If you don't have any luck beforehand, I will have a look tonight as the manual is on my home computer.

From MT.net... The torque for the 3 countersunk screws on the front of the actuator is 34-52 in/lbs.

hurry up! *runs*

Yeah, guilty. I can get a bit obsessive about measurements when I'm assembling engines.

However, apart from Fiats obviously, I've never broken an engine that I've rebuilt.

Looks like I was mistaken (partly). The factory service manual does indeed seem to be lacking the torque for the M6 ones. Perhaps it is regarded as a non-serviceable unit ?

I believe it is the genuine Mazda factory service manual for the NB8B. It is a collection of dozens of pdf's each covering individual areas / components, with an index file to locate the area / file you need. I downloaded it from somewhere a while back - I'll try to find it again and post the link.
