CEL after installing intake. PO113

Hey guys,

I spent today installing a custom intake, but I am getting a CEL which is error code PO113 - intake air temperature circuit high input.

Obviously messing with the MAF and temp probe have thrown the error - any ideas on a fix? The car is an 04 NB8B.

Thanks in advance!

PS I tried disconnecting the battery for half an hour before reconnecting and letting the car idle for 5-10 mins...no change

Not sure if this could cause it, but being your own custom intake, where did you plug this sensor back to? ...

To clear ECU fault codes just disconnect the battery & pump the brake pedal a few times, to have the affect of activating the brake lights to disipate any residual power, so no need to wait half an hour.

Thanks for the tip! Was able to clear the fault code by moving the temperature probe a bit further away from the filter. Not sure if this fixed it, or if it just wasn't connected properly the first time....

As an aside, new intake sounds fantastic, and I am 100% fully aware of the ineffectiveness of a CAI on such a small engine...but the car certainly seems to accelerate with more urgency than before. I had "swiss cheesed" my air box previously, so I don't think it is just the increase in sound messing with my head as overall loudness is not much greater. The engine seems to rev a lot more freely during VVT RPM range. Who knows...

I've found that as long as that temp sensor is close enough to the intake air, it doesnt really matter where it's positioned.

Mine is just cable tied to the radiator support near the front of the pod filter, no problems other than on cold mornings.
But that's just because it gets dew/frost on the sensor because it's not covered. If I moved it that would stop.
