NC short shift options

I truly loved the short throw of my SP 10 years ago. It felt like a joystick in a computer game. Now that I own the NC3, I find it is nowhere near as enjoyable. I've seen 2 short shift options which are 1. The eBay cheapy for under $200 landed with 25% shorter throw. 2. The IL version for around $500 landed with a 45% shorter throw. Some people on the forums haven't liked the feel and have gone back to standard after purchasing them. I'm curious what you guys think as I don't wish to blow money and not be happy with the result. Is there anyone in the Brisbane area who might have one fitted? Thank you in advance.

I put on a Voodoo knob. It screws down lower than the OEM knob and effectively makes the overall lever shorter and thus shortens the throw.

Sometimes it irritates me and I put the original knob back on...and then after a few weeks I'll put the Voodoo back on...

So are you saying you're indecisive?..... Or are you just not sure? :?

I too have changed out to a small round Carbon Fibre ball knob but it still isn't anywhere near as nice as the shift in the NB8B SP. I'd just like I nicer shift.

IMO it shifts better than the NB8B box...but the noise at low RPM is disgusting.
