Pilot Bearing noise?

Recently had a xtreme lightweight chromoly flywheel and xtreme HD clutch kit installed in my nb8b. Both items were na6 items and had no problems during installation.
after maybe 200 km's there is a noise whenever the clutch is not pressed.
its similar to a squeak or a squeal and is coming from the gearbox.
my mechanic said it may be a faulty pilot/thrust bearing.
has anyone had any experience with this happening on a new clutch kit?

it most likely is your clutch actuator where it touches the throw out .you need to put a dab of grease there...it sounds like a bearing/chirping noise but easily fixed from under the bonnet , inlet side where the gearbox bolts to the motor.
its a known problem by mazda and mentioned in servicing manuals.
dont take anything apart just rub grease into it.
this service report is for NAs but applies equally to NBs

thanks! I was reading up on this too, I recently replaced the slave so atleast im familiar with it. I did grease it up last time but from what I read mazda asks people to use magic white grease which may last a lot longer.

Probably lithium grease.
Any water-resistant thick grease should be fine though.
I'd just use wheel bearing grease, waterproof, and sling resistant.

Update.
grease works. It seem the slave rod vibrates quite a bit.
if anyone is having the same dilema start the car and hold the slave rod to see if the noise stops.
thanks guys.
