NB8A cam angle sensor options

looks like my cam angle sensor has gone again.. they really dont like the heat it would seem. or being fiddled with.
had one fail years ago, changed it out and the problem returned next track day, cable tied the plug and went strong for another few years.. then changed to a lower K's motor while i rebuilt the original motor and problem happened again on the track during the WP 300 and was again fixed with a cable tie (got lucky twice i recon)
now with the rebuilt motor in the problem has returned and cable ties are not helping! have three originals and they are all rubbish
has anyone found a better replacement?
is one OEM option better than another?
looking on google the cheaper Chinese made ones might not be all that crash hot, as far as QM goes. some lasting ages some lasting days..
has anyone retro fitted anything?
dose anyone have the full specs of the sensor? i have a Haul effect sensor or two i can source through work that are used on industrial equipment but cant get enough info on the standard sensor.. (my multi meter is finnito )
know this thread has come and gone several times but none seem to discuss options for aftermarket or compare success with different manufactures.
