Tip to save tearing hair out when working on gear shift

Postby davekmoore » Tue Feb 10, 2015 10:24 pm

Anyone who knows me will know the above reference to hair is misleading.

Anyway, when working on the gearshift, maybe changing bushes, or installing a short shifter, put some rags or old shirts around the turret to stop small objects falling into the black hole below.

Of course, this may only be of value for those as clumsy as I am, but I hope it saves someone some angst.
UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)
