MX5 Na6 Body Shell Removal

After having a look at exocets, and how they are made (especially with videos of the mx5 shell just being removed and the next shell fitted)

I was wondering if this could be done between two na6's.
My current plan is that there is an n/a built na6 for sale, but my current mx5 (KevGoats old mexie) has a great interior and the paint is still reasonable. Is it silly for me to think that myself and 2 mechanic friends could spend a few weekends 'splitting' both mx5's swapping the running gear into mexie, and putting mexies running gear into the slightly rougher body na6?

Ive been doing a bit of searching and responses range from yes, over a weekend and a few helping hands, to good luck as it will never work.

If anyone (Especially with exocet guys) has 'split' an mx5, id love some insight as if it wont be 11/10 difficult I reckon it could be a good weekend project.

Regards
Rhys

I guess something like this?

Wondering if I have these cars all wrong, or maybe it just could work... lol!

I have to do that to my Datsun 2000 Sports, but its body shell sits on a full chassis. My reading on this process indicates it is wise to tack a brace across the door openings before lifting the body.

FWIW.
