Welcome to the forum.

If you say what the symptoms are someone with more technical knowledge than myself will chime in.

For what it's worth, my clutch was perfect for 127,500kms. It only got changed because the engine was out for a rebuild. It would have done about another 10,000kms on the friction material that was left.

do the simple thing first.

#check to see if the master and slave are not leaking
#bleed the master and slave
#check to see if the slave throws the full way
#change gearbox oil
ect

if the car has been sitting for years there could be water in the fluid , rust in the slave or master.

You may have the lowest kms SE in the world. It is also probably very overdue a major service. Having this done by a proper MX5 specialist would be a very worthwhile investment. Please say you've at least changed all the fluids since you bought it - or that you're not driving it?

Your slave is almost certainly gone. After that much time sitting, the master may be pretty average also.

Squeeze the slave cylinder boot.

Also for a Mx5 friendly work shop, Deckspeed Racing at Padstow would be my recommendation.
