Advice Please on a New Muffler

As I run on LPG and the tank takes up two thirds of the boot I am unable to carry my spare wheel. Another forum member has sent me some links to fit the wheel externally underneath the car. However, the links are 'murican and the brand/type of muffler they recommend is rather pricey. Would any of you be able to advise me of a more local and cheaper brand/type of muffler?

I guess there are plenty of good muffler people about - i.e. those that do a number of custom type jobs. Years ago I had some work done by Barneys exhaust Industrial Drive Braeside 95875999 but I don't even know if they are still in business. There is a lpg place ( or was) near Bolwells near the roundabout ( or was) and they probably have a source who does muffler work for them.

That system is just like one I bought from a forum member earlier this year.
Get a quote for a custom job or buy the expensive one.

IIRC, the muffler on the system speed purchased was a 2.25" supercat muffler.
An exhaust shop who will need to do some custom piping should easily find a suitable muffler that will also fit.

Looks about the size of a commodore/falcon mid muffler, get some dimensions and start looking.
Im sure most exhaust shops could fit it for you for not too much, or give Dann a PM if you are close to Newcastle.
Or look up Hooker mufflers on ebay, i bought mine on there and it doesnt look much bigger, though it does weigh a bit, still it has a nice tone not too drony/loud.

Good luck!
