connecting VTPS to MSPNP

Hey, I recently picked up a MSPNP for my NA6 from the forums, and im in the process of setting up a VTPS from an RB30.
I pretty much did the same as this chap https://plus.google.com/photos/116833011412061185382/albums/5949309642233581457
After it was all finished and installed, the ECU wasnt reading it..
i checked the TPS before i started anything and it seems to be working alright, but checking the standard harness i found nothing across all 3 wires, rather than a +5v.
would this mean there is an issue with the wiring/ECU setup?
The car ran fine with the standard ECU, so i dont think there would be a wiring issue, but i will check that if i know where to look..
i found this to see if i can find where to check, but im not sure if the TPS +5v comes straight from a dedicated terminal on the ECU.

Any help, tips, or vague clues would be greatly appreciated.
