Shimmed Diff

Hi,

just wondering if anyone has shimmed the diff in there mx5 ?

Hope your talking about a torsen centre.
Can be a mongrel to do as shims ain't exactly easy to get. My first shim resulted in too tight a diff causing the car to push sideways on hard acceleration.
2nd time not so bad, but for the amount of time involved to do it ???????????????
unless your running in 2F where you "can't run anything but factory diff" Why would you bother when a good plate/clutch diff or a locker is far superior???

BTW, Diff Lapping P/L Kedron, is the best place I found for shims plates.
